About the Author
Belinda Nelson-Cobcroft is a writer and singer from the small mid north coast town of Kundibakh, NSW.
Belinda grew up in Sydney, Australia and has been a professional singer for the past 25 years. After spending most of her weekends performing in a duo called The HitPit on the Central Coast of NSW, she traded in suburbia for the quiet farm life with her husband, Evan and youngest daughter, Gemma. Cohabiting on their property are Humphrey the Camel, Fergus the Scottish Highland steer, Winston the mini Galloway steer, an Alpaca named Felix and a ewe named Mickey Mouse, guinea fowl and chickens.

During the week, she works as a session singer and does freelance voice work. Music has always been her passion although children's music was an unexpected addition to her repertoire.

"I wrote Today I Saw...In the Garden back in 2010. It came like a flood. It came so easily and fluidly that one moment I had a blank page and the next I had this very sweet poem for children. And even though my youngest, Gemma, was only 3 at time, she didn't see this until she was much older. I kept it hidden away for years until the other 2 poems came.
I always told myself that "I will turn these into books one day," but it was still many years before the actual process began.
It wasn't until they were illustrated and I could see them turning into something real, that they became songs. I must be a very slow learner, considering I've been a singer all my adult life, however, it only occurred to me in the past 2 years, to put music to them. Well, I don't mind admitting it. But it was with a huge amount of help from my duo partner, Greg Pigott at Ears that Hear Studio In Gwandalan, NSW, that they are now alive as songs that I sincerely hope your children will love.
